PROJECT OVERVIEW

NFTBuzz is a comprehensive website that caters to both NFT newbies and experienced traders alike. It aims to provide a platform for individuals to learn more about NFTs, their benefits, and potential investment opportunities.

CHALLENGES

We see many challenges in investment class and information management for NFT newbies and traders because of technical difficulties and a lack of supportive structures and standards. We had some hypotheses on how NFTBuzz can solve these problems:

  1. Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface for browsing news articles and art ideas.
  2. Develop gamification features to incentivize user engagement with educational resources on the site.
  3. Create a visually appealing and informative dashboard showcasing market insights, displaying crucial metrics and indicators.
  4. Provide a complimentary toolkit for NFT creators to kickstart their journey in the NFT realm.

GOALS AND MEASURE OF SUCCESS

We want to understand if the above features are enough to attract users by measuring users' time-on-site and traffic.

Design process includes Research phase (empathize, define, ideate) and Design phase (prototype, test)).

UNDERSTANDING THE MARKET

MARKET RESEARCH

The NFTBuzz team wanted to focus on the Vietnamese NFT newbies, traders, and creators. Thus, with this project, my approach was slightly different. Instead of going straight to user research, I did market research to understand how (or if) there would be a growth in NFT market in Vietnam now and in the future (noted that this project was developed during the bear period). By using secondary research with multiple sources, I could understand that the serviceable-addressable market was large and might be growing.

USER RESEARCH

After knowing that there might be a need for the product, I made a quick online survey to understand the major user pain points regarding the accessibility of NFT knowledge. This was a general assessment that would eventually help the team redefine our hypotheses.

  • 38% of users think that sources of information about Web3 are the massive and disorganized structure for new adopters.
  • 52% of users feel the process of using the current tools is complex, laborious, and high for flippers and new NFT users.
  • 33% of users acknowledge that UX/UI is their most consideration for aggregator apps, followed by user value security (23%) and trusted sources (17%).

STARTING THE DESIGN

BENCHMARK

We wanted to understand the competitive advantages, or, where NFTBuzz would stand compared to other websites, and how we could help the users approaching NFT and Web3 further.

OUR SELLING FEATURES

Seeing the lack of an all-in-one source for NFT across other platforms, we made it clear our selling point would be:

  • Be an all-in-one ecosystem for NFT and Web3 market focused.
  • Website main features aim as an all-in-one media hub for NFT Collectors, Creators, and Trader with gamified Web3 journey for mass adoption.
  • Add-on tool as a social listening & analytics for NFTs collection.
  • Create a marketplace launch pad for NFT Creators.

BUILDING THE PRODUCT

1. ONE-STOP SHOP FOR HOTTEST NEWS

We've created a one-stop-shop page for NFT news and collections, packed with all the essential information users need in a concise format.

2. INSIGHTS FROM COMMUNITY AND EXPERTS

We recognize that reading news alone may not suffice for users to confidently engage in the market. That's why we have an in-house team dedicated to providing detailed content, and we also gamify the experience with interactive features like the 'Fear and Greed' index and daily polls.

3. 'COURSERA' FOR NFT

Our aim is to cater to the diverse knowledge levels and interests of all users, whether they're newbies, creators, or traders. That's why we've developed a tailored curriculum that provides everything you need to know based on your persona. For those who want to delve deeper, we also offer links to additional courses within the site.

4. PLAY TO LEARN AND EARN

Once users have skimmed the news, gained insights, and acquired knowledge from NFTBuzz, we believe their efforts should be rewarded. To this end, we offer four games that allow users to solidify their knowledge and earn $BUZZ tokens. These tokens can be used to trade rewards, unlock courses, access NFT whitelists, and much more.

5. CREATE AND LAUNCH YOUR NFT

Once users have gained a thorough understanding of NFTs, Web3, and the market, we provide them with an opportunity to apply their knowledge in real life. With our toolkit, users can effortlessly create and sell their own NFT collections on various platforms.

TAKEAWAY

OUTCOMES

From October 2022 to March 2023, the website achieved significant results, including:

  • 19.6% weekly increase in traffic (an additional 36,946 visitors).
  • An average of 7 minutes time-on-site.
  • 20.1% weekly increase in unique users (an additional 6,519 users).

Regrettably, due to investment issues, the project had to be halted. However, the team is currently working to revive the website 🤞
